Traffic counts in and around Aurora growing

The combination of traffic counts at the 332 Interstate 80 intersection and along highways 14 and 34 are a definite business recruitment advantage for Aurora, state and local economic development officials agree.

Thriller! of a halftime show

Aurora’s cheer and dance team brought out its spookiest routine during Friday’s halftime routine as Aurora hosted Lexington for the opening round of the playoffs. As Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ blared through the speakers, Aurora’s dancers put on a spooky performance.

Hawks win state in land judging

Wednesday, Oct. 20 was a big day for local FFA land judging teams, as students from Aurora, Hampton and High Plains gave it their all on a section of land outside Bertrand.  Among students from 39 high schools, local names fared well.

Demand for daycare rising

More than a year after closing its doors when the pandemic hit in March of 2020, Aurora Child Care is reporting growing enrollment and continued support for community-based daycare services.
