Aurora’s start to the season was as tough as any.  The Lady Huskies welcomed a tall Adams Central team to Aurora for the season opener Thursday night before playing a ranked Wahoo team the following night.

There were times during Aurora’s season-opener Thursday against Adams Central where the Huskies looked like a team who hasn’t practiced much.  Well, they haven’t. Yet, the flashes of a good basketball team were there.
Five building permits were issued in November for single-family homes to be built in the new Streeter Subdivision. The project announced last month includes 64 housing lots, with construction on several expected to start as soon as possible.

A surge of new housing starts in the Streeter Subdivision, likely the first of many to come, boosted the building permit total to over $1 million for the month of November. Gov.
A construction crew poured a 120-by-134 foot parking lot in mid-November, with additional concrete work set to be completed in December.

A Central City native with years of experience as a payroll specialist announced this week that she has launched a Payroll Vault franchise from her home in rural Hamilton County.
Because of Aurora’s football success, the basketball program wasn’t able to practice as a full team until Nov. 24. Coach Kevin Asher is excited for the opportunity to take over the Huskies.

Aurora graduate Ellie Wanek ended her senior year in a flash, complete with turning in her blue Aurora FFA jacket and presidential title for another one.
