In order to qualify for the Class B state tournament, the Aurora Cooperative Post 42 Juniors team needed to win three straight elimination games.Mission accomplished.

AC Juniors remain alive in district play

Sawyer Kiner’s bat and Keagan White’s right arm made sure to extend the Aurora Cooperative Juniors’ season another day.

The Aurora Cooperative Juniors team rounded out its regular season on a high note last week, picking up two wins ahead of district play.Aurora grinded out a 5-3 win over Doniphan-Trumbull June 30 before a convincing 9-1 win against Centura July 1, moving its season record to 16-6.

The Aurora Pinnacle Bank Seniors team played three over the weekend but just missed out on the win column.Aurora fell to St. Paul 16-2 Friday night before losing a doubleheader to Grand Island Saturday, 6-1 and 19-13.In the loss to St.

Aurora Cooperative Juniors win two of three on the weekend

It was a busy weekend for the Aurora Cooperative Juniors squad, playing three games over the weekend while coming away with two wins.Aurora downed UBC 11-2 on the road Sunday and also defeated St. Paul at home Friday night, 11-2 with its lone loss coming Saturday against Grand Island, 9-1.
