I love a good golf story. It could be Tiger winning the 2019 Masters or Phil Mickelson winning the PGA Championship a few weeks ago.  The unexplainable happens on the golf course more often than anywhere else. Something that, no matter what, you have to root for.

While that took most of what she had left in the tank, reality began to set in that her track and field career had just come to a close.

Going into Monday’s B-3 District meet at York Country Club, Aurora’s Tate Nachtigal wasn’t on the radar for most people to keep an eye on.  He certainly is now.  Nachtigal, who entered the district meet as Aurora’s No.

Huskies finish 3rd at conference meet

Elks Country Club in Columbus provided a challenge for Friday’s Central Conference meet.  The rough was a challenge and putting was at a premium as Aurora ended the day with two medalists and a third place team effort.

Smiles, high fives and medals

The view at the finish line is unlike any other in sports. For those competing in Unified Track and Field, that idea is not only reinforced, but possibly unmatched.   There isn’t a frown or growl to be had. Surely no disappointment, either.

Huskies raise the bar with 10-win soccer season

A memorable boys soccer season came to an end Monday as the Huskies fell to Grand Island Northwest 3-0 in B-7 District play. The loss ends Aurora’s season at 10-8, going down in Husky history as the first boys soccer team to post a winning record.

Youth soccer becoming wildly popular in Aurora

Soccer balls are flying every which way on a typical Saturday spring morning in Aurora, even more so this year as the Optimist Youth Soccer program reports a record number of participants.

Aurora goes the distance with one of Class B’s finest

It was a learning experience last week for the Husky soccer team.  Aurora picked up a 5-0 win at Seward April 20 before a 7-0 loss to Lexington at home Thursday and a 2-0 loss at Waverly Saturday.
