City council approves second reading for clubhouse annexation

The Aurora City Council approved the second reading of a proposal to annex the Aurora Community Clubhouse Subdivision into the city during a brief meeting May 25.
Following up on a report from action initiated at the May 11 meeting, two local entities focused on meeting the community’s recreational needs announced plans in December to combine efforts and build a new Aurora Community Clubhouse overlooking Poco Creek Golf Course. The golf course board has been contemplating what to do with the existing clubhouse structure for more than a year, having acquired the Vet’s Club building in 2019. 
Based on member feedback and a detailed structural analysis, the decision was made to demolish the aging structure and build a new clubhouse.
