Going into Monday’s B-3 District meet at York Country Club, Aurora’s Tate Nachtigal wasn’t on the radar for most people to keep an eye on.

Nachtigal, who entered the district meet as Aurora’s No. 5 golfer, pieced together a new personal record, shooting an 18-hole score of 81 to qualify for next week’s Class B state golf tournament with a top 10 finish.

“How awesome is that for him to qualify for state in basically his first year of competitive golf,” Badura said.
