Lights, camera, People of the Past!

Back again for another year, the long awaited P.O.P (People of the Past) event put on by Aurora middle schoolers filled the commons and middle school gym Thursday. There were nearly 100 students serving as living wax figures!

Aurora High School spring production hits stage Friday

Coming to the Aurora school theater March 18-19 is “Madam’s Been Murdered, Tea Will Be Late,” comedic murder mystery set in a dusty and haunted old English manor filled with a unique set of characters.  The production’s Friday and Saturday shows will both start at 7 p.m.

House fire in Aurora quickly contained

Aurora firefighters made quick work of a small fire in a home on 7th Street Friday morning.  Aurora Fire Chief Tom Cox reported the fire was started by a stove in the kitchen. “By the time we got on scene, luckily, it hadn’t grown that much,” Cox said. “There was no oxygen getting to the fire.
