Time shifted to the 10 o’clock hour and instead of a raucous party, the air was being sucked out of the building.Baylor Scheierman’s name was still on the draft board and the only phone throughout the entire Let it Fly sports bar in downtown Omaha that NEEDED to be dialed was completely silent.

The Aurora Pinnacle Bank Post 42 Seniors sound some momentum with back-to-back wins last week.Aurora scored a season-high 18 runs in an 18-9 win at Kearney June 25 before a 6-3 home win over Grand Island June 26. That came to an end Friday, though, as the Pinnacle Bank Seniors fell 9-1 at York.

The Aurora Pinnacle Bank Post 42 Seniors team found the winning side once more.Aurora looked unstoppable in its return to Mitchell Field Friday, blanking Doniphan 15-0 behind a solid complete game effort from Collin Stolpe on the mound.

The friendship between Wyatt Urkoski and Taylor Smith doesn’t make sense on the surface. Upon further review, they have a whole lot more in common. Two athletes are from rival high schools -- High Plains Community and Giltner. They’ve played in that rivalry. They’ve crashed shoulder pads.
