Friday night roundup week 8
Aurora and High Plains rolled to big wins Friday night behind big offensive numbers.
The Huskies totaled over 350 yards in its biggest offensive output of the season, defeating Milford 56-14.
Aurora ran for over 200 yards while adding nearly 150 through the air, scoring 35 points before half.
As for High Plains, the Storm leaned on senior Gage Friesen once more as the senior scored six touchdowns in a dominant 64-12 at Deshler.
Friesen also created three turnovers defensively, adding a scoop and score to his TD total. HPC is set for the D2 playoffs, entering with a 6-2 record and will find out its postseason fate Saturday morning.
Hampton and Giltner struggled in road games this week as the Hawks couldn't keep pace in a 67-37 loss at Ansley-Litchfield Thursday night while the Hornets ended its season with a 72-20 loss at Lawrence-Nelson.
HPC will begin the D2 playoffs next week while Aurora and Hampton round out its regular season. The Huskies travel north for a huge rivalry game at Central City while the Hawks host Santee.
