The Aurora Huskies competed at Seward Thursday morning competing against 21 teams of various sizes and strengths.Despite the rough competition, Aurora coach Tony Sigler was pleased with his runners perseverance.

It was nearly a perfect night on the hill for Zoe Johnson.The Aurora senior tossed a complete game winner Thursday over rival York, including a no hitter through five innings as the Huskies blanked the Dukes, 8-0.

Gage Friesen ran like he was mad at the grass Friday night. The High Plains senior scored four rushing touchdowns as HPC defeated Palmer 51-8 in its home opener. Friesen tallied more than 100 rushing yards for the second straight week with two of his touchdown rushes going for 40-plus yards.
