Before 2020, High Plains had never made it to a district final game in volleyball. Now, they’ve qualified in back-to-back years.
The Lady Storm earned their way in, winning the D2-3 subdistrict final over Osceola in front of a home crowd Oct. 26, doing so in three sets.

High Plains ends Giltner’s season at D2-3 subdistricts

HPC’s march toward a potential first-ever trip to the state volleyball tournament started off nearly perfect Monday night.
The Lady Storm made quick work of Giltner, defeating the Hornets in three sets 25-19, 25-9 and 25-20 at home to start the D2-3 subdistrict tournament.

HPC Storm defeat Hampton in area showdown last week

A quick start was all High Plains needed last week.
Coming off a few days off, the Storm looked fresh in a two-set win over Hampton at the Meridian triangular, 25-20 and 25-20. Both the Hawks and Storm lost to the hosts, Meridian.

Lady Hornets pick up big win on championship night

On a night where Giltner honored its champions, the current Hornet volleyball team rose to the challenge.
After a slow start, Giltner charged ahead to defeat conference foe Nebraska Lutheran in four, 22-25, 25-16, 25-16 and 25-20 Thursday night.
