The BigRich Sports Report

Body

Better late than never.
Santa BigRich has kept the list up to date throughout the year, taking note of all the naughty and nice athletes as well as their coaches.
Surely we can all come together, have a great time and not have to sweat through a one-possession game.
There’s been a lot, so buckle your jingle bells and let’s get started.
To Baylor Scheierman, a statue at AHS and your number in the gym. I won’t stop until its there.
To Nate Boerkircher, a year’s worth of fun in the SEC? Show ‘em what Aurora football looks like.
To Carsen Staehr, that 50-foot triple jump was nice. What now? 53? 55?
To Matt Rhule, a home run in Yankee Stadium. A one-possession winner.
To John Cook, the best folding chair money can buy.
To Lexi Rodriguez, GOAT status.
To whom it may concern, more college volleyball games on TV. Especially the national tournament. Let’s treat it like March Madness already.
To whoever can help it, no more streaming services. I can’t keep track.
To Coach Prime, coal.
To Ryan Day, coal.
To Kirk Ferentz, double coal.
To Ohio State fans, be careful what you wish for. Signed, a Husker fan who knows what happens when you fire a successful coach.
To Fred Hoiberg, an end to the March sadness. Please, please, please.
To Heinrich Haarberg, the ultimate Husker award. A team guy.
To Joe Burrow, the MVP of my fantasy team. Sorry we let you down everywhere else -- literally.
To Bill Bellichick, baby blue sweaters.
To Patrick Mahomes, an early vacation in January.
To Josh Allen and Jared Goff, a rematch in New Orleans.
To SMU, a long-awaited welcome back to the Pony Express.
To Kevin Asher, 500 more wins.
To Canon Allen, some full-body bubble wrap. Kid plays 1,000 miles per hour.
To Booker Scheierman, a dunk or two inside Pinnacle Bank Arena.
To Ryan Staehr, a foul call for once on those dribble-drives.
To Parker Smith, an open three.
To Adi Fahrnbruch, a pair of new track shoes and a great day at the beach.
To Hannah Janda, no chills during soccer season.
To Luke Grosshans, a hole in one.
To Karsten Hohm, a well-deserved state medal.
To Charlie Evans, a four-minute mile.
To Jereme Jones and the Hampton football team, a playoff win. One of these days I’ll be right.
To the High Plains girls basketball team, a gift you’ve never gotten before. Should be here the first week of March.
To Raul Marino, the teammate of the year award.
To Martin Phillips, a smiling finish on championship Saturday at state wrestling.
To the Norris Titans, chill out. Let the rest of us have a chance.
To Cassidy Knust, a long and successful career in the next step of sports -- coach Knust has a good ring to it.
Merry Christmas!
