Neighbors return favor to Giltner farmer

Richard LaBrie has been on the giving end of a harvest bee, helping friends and neighbors bring in their crops when they could not. He just never expected to be the recipient of the kind of goodwill Nebraska farmers offer to one of their own when times are tough.

Mothers always win

The DAM game was something else.  Giltner’s volleyball team took the floor for one final time in 2021, but the opponent on the other side of the net was quite the authoritative figure.  The players call them Mom.

Nov. 10 was a special day in Giltner for a variety of reasons.  The school held its fourth annual Veterans Day program with a myriad of vets and students alike gathered to honor those who served.

Recall election will proceed in Giltner

Hamilton County Clerk Jill DeMers reported this week that enough signatures have been verified in a recall initiative targeting Giltner School Board President Chris Waddle to advance the process to an election.

High Plains ends Giltner’s season at D2-3 subdistricts

HPC’s march toward a potential first-ever trip to the state volleyball tournament started off nearly perfect Monday night.  The Lady Storm made quick work of Giltner, defeating the Hornets in three sets 25-19, 25-9 and 25-20 at home to start the D2-3 subdistrict tournament.

As harvest rolls along, members of the Giltner FBLA team have rallied for the third year to show their support to area farmers. On Oct. 12, members served meals from the Giltner CPI building to share their thanks.
