The Aurora boys cross country team ran against a wide field of teams across multiple classes on Thursday at Concordia University in Seward and went on to have a pair of medalists in Minden Saturday.

Big plays spark Huskies in another top five clash

Aurora’s offense exploded for several big plays Friday in a clash of Top 5 C1 teams, giving the Huskies a decided advantage in a 34-13 win over Boone Central.

Aurora challenged on opening night

Aurora played part in one of the more enticing three-way matchups on opening night of the 2022 season.  The Lady Huskies traveled to Wahoo, taking on the Warriors as well as the Norris Titans in a triangular.

Huskies put the hammer down in opener

The season opener looked more like the second or third game of the 2022 campaign Friday for Aurora as the preseason No. 1-ranked Huskies overpowered rival Grand Island Northwest 43-13, keeping the hammer home.

Marching Huskies take the field

The Aurora High School Marching Band took to the field Friday, opening the season with its first public performance. Though not yet in uniform, the band performed a portion of its halftime Pirates of the Caribbean show.

Aurora to apply for CDBG funds for downtown revitalization

The Aurora City Council approved a request last week for a $435,000 Community Development Block Grant with a $100,000 match by participating business owners to help fund a downtown revitalization project .

Lady Huskies start season 1-1

Let's try something different.  Aurora's volleyball team opened up the 2022 volleyball season in one of the state's best triangular matchups, taking on Wahoo and Norris in Wahoo.
