Aurora coach Lois Hixson hit a career milestone Tuesday night.
As the Lady Huskies defeated Omaha Gross Catholic, the win marked the 500th career victory for Hixson. Aurora defeated Omaha Gross 25-17 and 25-13 while also dropping a contest to Omaha Skutt, 25-12 and 25-10.

Huskies misfire in late-game loss to Grand Island Northwest

Over the course of its five-game win streak, Aurora has excelled on money downs and late-game situations. Grand Island Northwest bested Aurora Friday at its own game.
The Vikings made the short 30-minute trip across the Platte and used a late-game touchdown to defeat the Huskies 36-29 Friday night.
