Jacob Smith almost single-handedly kept Giltner within striking distance to help the Hornets keep its unbeaten mark. 
The Hornet junior scored a game-high 23 points on 10 of 13 shooting to help Giltner defeat Nebraska Lutheran 40-37 Dec. 15 at home. 
Giltner coach Scott Dangler pointed out that Smith is finding out how he can impact a game in different ways and that’s been a huge help for the Hornets early in the year.
