A critical second half run was more than enough for Aurora’s boys basketball team Friday night.
The Huskies used a 15-0 run through the third and fourth quarters to go from a one-possession lead to a double-digit advantage in a 51-37 win over Schuyler at home.
Aurora coach Rick Bell said after the game that the 15-0 scoring stretch had as much to do with the Huskies’ defensive effort as its ability to make shots from a variety of players.
“I thought we took good shots all night long, but during that stretch we certainly did and made a lot of them,” Bell said. “Our zone gave them some fits and kept them off the board. The zone seemed to be a difference maker tonight.”
