In thrilling fashion, Aurora’s boys soccer team picked up a program-defining win last week. The Huskies scored two first-half goals and held on in the final moments to defeat top-10 rated Crete, 2-1 Thursday at home.

The Aurora girls soccer team flashed its most dominant effort of the season Thursday in front of the home faithful. It was all Aurora as the Lady Huskies picked up a 4-0 win over Crete Thursday, its second win of the season and first on the home field.

Blue Thunder volleyball teams roll on after 10 years

The Blue Thunder volleyball sports club has been going strong in Giltner Public Schools for 10 years and is now reaching out to students in Harvard, Hastings and Doniphan from categories 11 years and younger to 17-year olds according to club director and 13-year old group coach Jeanie Good.

Huskies get first win over Lakeview

The Aurora boys soccer team had the joy of its first win this season coupled with the sting of losing a game to its rival. The Huskies earned its first win on the road Thursday, sweeping past Columbus Lakeview 6-0 before a 3-0 loss at home to Grand Island Northwest Saturday.

After picking up its first win of the year on the road, the Aurora girls soccer team came within minutes of doing the same at home. The Lady Huskies picked up a 3-1 win over Columbus Lakeview Thursday, but fell short in its home opener against Ralston Saturday morning, 1-0.
