A’ROR’N Bots invited to international competition First Lego League (FLL) Razorback Invitational officials have invited the A’ROR’N Bots to an in-person competition on May 19-22 after winning third place in the statewide FLL tournament Feb. 26.

Trio sets sights on National Merit Scholar program The Aurora High School senior trio of Caden Carlson, Elena Kuehner and Preston Ramaekers have excelled in a number of things over their high school careers -- though becoming National Merit Scholar Finalists is up at the top.

Aurora’s season wasn’t totally hanging in the balance in the B-6 subdistrict final Feb. 23. But the Huskies sure played like it.  The Huskies finished the game on a 16-3 run, defeating Crete 56-43 at York to win the B-6 subdistrict and advance to the district finals.

Rylee Olsen isn’t Aurora’s top option from behind the arc. Sometimes, though, the clutch gene outweighs everything else.  The Aurora senior swished a three from the top of the key with 43 seconds left to help the Lady Huskies take down Lexington 42-39 Saturday at home.

Carsen Staehr’s efforts Saturday may be proof of Aurora’s recent offensive woes clearly in the rear-view mirror.  Staehr had a career day, bagging 27 points on nine of 12 shooting while going a perfect six of six from three-point range as the Huskies downed Lexington 72-50 on its home floor.
