Driver, vehicle deadline approaching on Aug. 31

Gov. Pete Ricketts’ announcement at the start of July rescinding Executive Order 20-05 began the countdown for Nebraskans to ensure their driver license, vehicle title and vehicle registration are up to date by Aug. 31. Any new car sales tax or fees currently due, must also be paid by Aug. 31.

Back to school we go, updates

We’re rolling through the first full week of school and my kids are still excited to be back. It’s nice to have a routine again. Some things are a bit (or a lot) different but I’m so thankful that school has resumed in the buildings.

Aurora High gets new face for first day

The first day at Aurora High School looked a little different to students as they returned on Friday. Workers completed the finishing touches to the outside and inside of the new commons area. The spacious corridor provides room for students to spread out, as well as makes the space more modern.

County confirms Sunset Terrace roads will be fixed

This week’s public participation portion of the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners meeting brought a crowd of about 30 community members from the Sunset Terrace and Platteview housing subdivisions, located just over 15 miles west of Aurora near the Platte River.
