Kemling caps incredible comeback with medal

Britton Kemling thought his senior season was over athletically before it even began. Little did he know, it was the start of an improbable comeback.  A little more than half a calendar year removed from a devastating knee injury, Kemling not only returned to the wrestling mat, but won.

For the second time in as many duals, Aurora hosted a Central Conference opponent to end the 2022 calendar year.  The Huskies welcomed Columbus Lakeview to town on an icy Thursday afternoon as the Vikings cruised to a 54-30 dual victory.

Lady Husky wrestlers edge Northwest in home dual

Aurora’s girls wrestling team finished out its schedule before the holiday break with a merry good time. The Lady Huskies won three of the five contested matchup and held a slight edge in the team dual, defeating GINW 37-36 at home Dec. 20.

The High Plains wrestling team continued to outwork its depth ahead of the holiday break, this time against even larger schools.  The Storm competed at Friday’s Platteview Invite against multiple schools from Classes A and B with multiple medalists.
