Husky wrestlers end 2022 with dual against Lakeview

Brett Mellies picked up a first period pinfall victory over Columbus Lakeview’s Dustyn Lusche during a dual at Aurora Thursday. Mellies joined Jack Allen as Aurora wrestlers to win contested matches against the Vikings.

For the second time in as many duals, Aurora hosted a Central Conference opponent to end the 2022 calendar year.
The Huskies welcomed Columbus Lakeview to town on an icy Thursday afternoon as the Vikings cruised to a 54-30 dual victory.
Action began Thursday at 160 pounds as the Huskies struggled to find any success early on.
Kendrik Owens, Clemens Kremer and Collin Stolpe all lost their matches to begin the day before the Huskies could get on the board.
