Britton Kemling thought his senior season was over athletically before it even began. Little did he know, it was the start of an improbable comeback. 
A little more than half a calendar year removed from a devastating knee injury, Kemling not only returned to the wrestling mat, but won. 
He won enough to qualify for the NSAA state championships, pick up his 100th career victory and earn a fourth place medal Saturday at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. 
Everything Kemling accomplished over the last month seemed utterly impossible during football’s preseason. For him, the opportunity to come back to sports was all he ever wanted.
