Local concern is mounting surrounding President Biden’s January executive order. Many citizens, figureheads and organizations have come forth with worries, questions and pushback. Among them, Hamilton County resident Debbie Sorensen addressed the issue with commissioners during last week’s meeting.

At this time, CDHD has paused administration of Johnson and Johnson (J&J, or Janssen) vaccine per recommendation of Nebraska DHHS, the CDC and FDA. The CDC/FDA are reviewing data related to six cases of a rare and severe type of blood clot in individuals after receiving the J&J vaccine.

The Aurora Cooperative announced Friday that Chris Decker has been named as the new president and CEO, replacing Chris Vincent, who was granted a personal leave of absence in accordance with his request.

Nunnenkamp revamps aging downtown structure From its beginning in 1881 as the Bank of Aurora to housing the Jones Agency, the building found on the southeast side of Aurora’s downtown square has grown and changed with the town.
