Holiday meal a Food Pantry tradition Volunteers and citizens in need could all see their breath in Saturday’s cold morning air, but they shared a feeling of warmth at the Hamilton County Food Pantry’s annual holiday distribution event.

Two local entities focused on meeting the community’s recreational needs announced plans this week to combine efforts and build a new Aurora Community Clubhouse overlooking Poco Creek Golf Course.

Hampton village board members discussed the possibility of allowing cargo container dwellings and tiny houses while also reviewing a dwindling list of possible nuisance abatement properties Monday during a busy final meeting of the year.

The sound of Christmas is in the air for patrons at Aurora Mall, where the Salvation Army bells are ringing. Among the many volunteers helping ring the bells and collect donations this year were Elena Kuehner, left, and Hailey Hanneman, representing the Aurora High School National Honor Society.

Craft, Toy and Gun Show on target The inaugural Craft, Toy and Gun Show hosted at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds by the Ag Society was a welcomed success this past weekend.  The event saw multiple vendors displaying a wide range of products, and two days worth of eager holiday shoppers.
