Aurora seniors Zander Stromer and Rachel Hunter were crowned Homecoming king and queen Friday night at halftime of the Huskies' 55-44 loss to Bennington.  Other Homeoming royalty included Ella Mitchell, Kaylee Crosby, Grace Ziegler, Mackenson Owens, Caden Carlson and Preston Ramaekers.

The statue “Waiting for the Bus” and flag pole were given in memory of Cletus Kothe by his family. Kothe drove bus for the Giltner school for 52 years and passed away in 2020.

Two years after launching a city-owned and operated fire-based EMS service local ambulance personnel have begun transitioning into new overnight living quarters with the completion of a 14th Street fire barn expansion project.

The community of Giltner came together Friday night in an effort to help one of its own in a tough time. Coinciding with the Hornet football scrimmage, community members held a hamburger benefit with a free will donation towards the Wiles family.
