From Carolina Reaper peppers to flying cast-iron skillets, there were plenty of challenges for those visiting the Hamilton County Fair.
Joining the line-up was a pie, hot dog and hot pepper eating contest along with a ladies’ skillet toss.
Kicking off the week was the pie eating contest on Tuesday evening. One ambitious eater was Evan Glass who competed in the 6 to 8 year-old class.
He noted that he had never done an eating contest before but he could do anything with his triceratops tail on. After he was declared the winner he added that his costume was his secret weapon to win.
The hot dog eating contest followed immediately after pies and people were still hungry for glory. Owen Held, champion of the 6 to 8 year-old division voiced that it felt good to win.
“My strategy was eating with the hot dog in the bun,” he said.
