Some may call it a matchup of destiny one game away from the big show.
No. 5 Aurora will host No. 8 Plattsmouth Friday night in the Class B semifinals with a trip to Memorial Stadium on the line.
The two teams have had to defeat higher seeds at one point or another to get to this point.

Mack Owens was a problem all night for Norris.
The Husky junior totaled 168 yards on 33 carries and accounted for all four Aurora touchdowns as the Huskies defeated Norris 28-21 Friday night in the Class B quarterfinals.

Despite the early 9 a.m. start time, both Aurora and Norris came out of the chutes firing in their Class B opening round matchup Wednesday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The Lady Huskies gave it a run, but were unable to pull the upset on the Titans, falling in three sets 25-21, 25-19, 25-20.

High Plains volleyball made history Saturday, taking the floor in a district final for the first time ever.
The Lady Storm proved it belonged on center stage, pushing defending state champion BDS to the wall before ending its season at 19-12.

Huskies blast Bearcats in playoff opener

It was a near-perfect night for what could be the start of a thrilling postseason run for Aurora.
The Huskies totaled more than 500 yards of offense as Aurora defeated Scottsbluff 54-3 Friday night in the opening round of the Class B playoffs.

Lady Huskies punch ticket to state

Halloween had a happy ending for Aurora's volleyball team.
The Lady Huskies defeated Gering in four sets, 25-11, 20-25, 25-14 and 25-16 to win the B-7 district final and qualify for the state tournament next week. It will be Aurora's first appearance in the state tournament since 2016.
