Robert Runion, Jr., 65, of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, as the result of an automobile accident in Hall County. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Grand Island, with Rev. Don Buhrman officiating.

Robert Schneider, 93, of Aurora, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at Memorial Community Care.  Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, Dec. 29th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Rev. Mark Seiker will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery.

Billy Manka

Billy Thomas Manka was born February 4, 1943, and passed away peacefully at Westfield Quality Care in Aurora, on December 22, 2025 at the age of 82. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.   Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora is in charge of arrangements.

Danny Marten, age 77, of Aurora, formerly of Gothenburg, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Memorial Community Care. Danny’s wishes were to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 22 at Monroe Evangelical Free Church at Phillips.

Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Hahn, 34, of Aurora, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family’s love, on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 17 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora. Rev. Rudy Flores will officiate.

Milvern 'Mel' Noffke

Milvern ‘Mel’ Noffke, 93, of Hampton, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 16 at Zion Lutheran Church, east of Hampton. Rev. Tim Wells will officiate.   Interment will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Carol Jansen

Carol (Carolyn) Jansen of Golden, CO, passed away Dec. 9, 2025 at the age of 87. Carol was born Jan. 5, 1938 in Stuart, to Wes and Vivian Cobb. As a child Carol enjoyed riding Shetland ponies, tap dancing and playing in her playhouse which was a gift from her parents on her fourth birthday.

Edward Steenburg

The Honorable Edward D. Steenburg passed away on December 7, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Lincoln, surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer.Ed was born on January 15, 1953 in Aurora, to Dr. Edmund A. (Ned) and Patricia J. (McArthur) Steenburg.

Christina (Chris) Wykoff

Christina (Chris) Wykoff was born on June 18, 1957, to Bob and Ruth (Nelson) Wykoff and her big brother John. She passed away on December 4, 2025, in Grand Island. Chris’s wish was to be cremated, and inurnment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later time.

Glenda "Jeannie" Glines

Glenda “Jeannie” J. Glines, 91, of Central City, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care Center in Central City.Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the United Methodist Church in St. Paul.
