Heralding the new year, the Plainsman Museum has officially announced its partnership with the Smithsonian Museum’s “Museum on Mainstreet” program to bring a new community-focused exhibition to the rotunda.

The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners spent most of Monday’s board meeting performing reorganizational tasks, appointing board positions and other boards and committees in the county.  Commissioner John Thomas was appointed vice chair, replacing Commissioner Becky Richter in the role.

Aurora teachers to get vaccine

A majority of teachers in Aurora have expressed interest in receiving a COVID vaccine, which is tentatively scheduled to be administered in early February. “We registered and submitted preliminary numbers and it looks as if we’re going to get the Moderna vaccine,” Supt. Jody Phillips announced.
