Aurora native receives teaching award

An Aurora native is the winner of this year’s Marvin Spomer Novice Art Teacher of the Year award from the Nebraska Art Teachers Association. Melissa Sellers, a 2016 graduate of Aurora High School, is in her third year of teaching art at Mickle Middle School in Lincoln.

A lifetime of memories come flooding back for Donna Goertzen when she takes a seat at the Grandview Cafe.Some are good, some funny, some emotional, yet some stir angst about the hours her parents spent in the kitchen and behind the bar running the family-owned business.
