Letter to the Editor
Dear Editor:
Recently, I became convinced that many of us are in need of a course (or a refresher) in civics. Having been unable to find out who the school board members were from the school website (which I’ve since found), I called the public library.

Ian Boerkircher goes through warm-ups before the spring game in April, which was his first on-field experience as a Nebraska player.
An unforgettable experience
Dave Bradley
In the history of Nebraska football, there may never have been a brother combination who got the thrill of experienceng the wild rush of the tunnel walk, in full uniform, for the very first time together.

Inherited values far more important than wealth

Saturday storm will leave scars with so much tree loss
Kurt Johnson
That felt like a punch to the gut.
Aurora and much of Hamilton County looked like a war zone Saturday morning when residents woke after a sleepless night to see how much damage was done during a storm unlike any in recent memory.

New masks for cows concept hard to stomach
Butch Furse
Well, just as we thought the mask mandates for the COVID-19 were over, we find there are “cracks” in the system. No, the majority of the new requests have not emerged for wearing masks to ease summer allergies, or for the potentials virus to come. The new mandates are asking for something else.

Mix of youth, experience a good sign for continued growth
Kurt Johnson
Coming off last week’s feel-good A’ROR’N Days vibe it strikes me that Aurora has a lot of momentum on various fronts, due in part to a growing trend toward generational leadership.
