Wind-damaged Corn: The evening/early morning hours of July 8-9 caused quite a bit of damage to corn fields for some of you reading this. It’s always hard to see crop damage. For field corn, it came at a critical time prior to pollination.

Emerald Ash Borer troubles spread in Nebraska

In 2002 the emerald ash borer (EAB), a beetle native to Asia was find in Detroit, Mich. Since then it has spread to 25 states including Nebraska. Most recently this invasive species was found in Kearney.

Nebraska farm real estate values increase for first time since 2014

Nebraska agricultural land values increased by 3 percent over the last year, to a statewide average of $2,725 per acre, according to the final results of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s 2020 Farm Real Estate Report.
