High Plains was victorious Monday night in the D2-2 subdistrict semifinals, but had its home fans sweating it out for a minute or two.  The Lady Storm took down Nebraska Lutheran in three, 25-13, 25-23 and 25-22 in its home gym, setting up a third clash with Exeter-Milligan Tuesday night.
Quarterback Drew Knust and running back Maddex Egger stepped up in a big way Friday, combining for seven rushing touchdowns to lead the Huskies to a 49-21 win over Central City.

My beautiful wife is all but over my new hairstyle.  I’m usually on a tight schedule when it comes to my haircut. Every three to four weeks, like clock work, the buzz cut comes out.  Rinse, repeat. I’ve had the same look since probably the third grade. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.

Aurora's boys and girls teams competed in the Class C1 state cross country meet in Kearney Friday, earning two individual medals. Pictured here, the girls race enters the first turn at the bottom of a hill, with Aurora freshmen Alexis Ericksen and Ella Eggleston in the center of the pack.

Hampton passed the first of its two-week test with flying colors. The Hawks entered St. Edward needing a win to stay in contention for a district championship and went home with a 64-32 win over the Beavers Friday night.  The win for coach Jereme Jones was special, beating a St.

Aurora’s girls cross country squad had four medalists bolting their way to the top 15, making for a strong finish for the Lady Huskies at the C-4 District championships near Hastings.  The Lady Huskies also took the runner-up position in total team scores, finishing behind Minden, 23 to 28.

High Plains and Exeter-Milligan had one of the matches of the day from the CRC tournament in the quarterfinals Saturday in York.  The two teams traded blows in its second match of the week, this time Exeter-Milligan taking the win in three, 25-22, 18-25 and 25-20. Back on Oct.
