Mack Owens took several moments to himself following the final whistle Monday night.  The Aurora senior co-captain fell just short of the ultimate goal for himself and the Huskies -- winning a state championship.

Small ball turns big plays for Aurora Seniors team

The Aurora Pinnacle Bank Post  42 Seniors team made a few adjustments on the fly during the Class B Area 1 tournament in Fairbury this weekend hoping to extend its season.  It worked, as Aurora used several small-ball tactics at the plate to defeat Crete and nearly pick up a win over York.

Pinnacle Bank Seniors end regular season with split DH

It was a split for the Aurora Post 42 Pinnacle Bank Seniors team in a double-header last week.  After losing both games of a double-header to Gibbon/Shelton back on June 16, Aurora was victorious in one of two games played July 5 from Mitchell Field.

Pinnacle Bank Seniors can’t hold late lead over St. Paul

Things had dampened a bit for the home Aurora Pinnacle Bank Post 42 Seniors team before the skies actually did the same.  A solid starting pitching effort from Cauy Walters wasn’t enough as St. Paul rallied for a 13-6 win Sunday at Mitchell Field.

Phillips fans 11 in Seniors’ first win

A near-perfect effort on the bump from Cayden Phillips was a big help for the Aurora Post 42 Pinnacle Bank Seniors in its first win last week.  Phillips tossed a complete game as Aurora defeated St. Paul 13-0 June 1 as the Pinnacle Bank Seniors won its first game of the season.
