Huskies tee it up for Central Conference at Jackrabbit

The team race at Friday’s Central Conference golf meet was a huge log jam.Behind Adam Central’s 303 team victory and Crete’s runner-up effort of 317, Seward, Lakeview, Aurora and York were separated by three strokes at Jackrabbit Run in Grand Island to make up the top five.

Magic runs dry for Aurora

For nearly all of the first half, the Aurora boys soccer team looked prime to give Hastings the toughest of challenges.Two late first half goals from the Tigers, though, swung the momentum entirely as Hastings pulled away for a 5-1 win during Monday’s B-7 subdistrict opener at Hastings College.

Huskies cannot convert late rally

The final five minutes of Aurora-Seward last week were fast and furious.The Bluejays broke a scoreless tie with just over three minutes remaining. Aurora didn’t quit and pushed for a couple equalizers, but just couldn’t find it, leading to a 1-0 Bluejay victory April 22.

Huskies relish opportunity to play Wild Horse Golf Club

The Aurora boys golf team had a rare opportunity to play one of the country’s rated golf courses last week.The Huskies were challenged by Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg Thursday, carding a team effort of 325 to finish fourth overall.

For the first time this spring, High Plains, Giltner and Hampton all competed in the same event.On a picture-perfect day, High Plains hosted its annual invite at the Osceola track April 16 as the Storm put together some impressive results.
