Thirty years ago this month a group of business-minded individuals gathered together with the idea of a collective retail effort in Aurora.  Though three decades have passed, the feeling of Aurora’s “Village Square” has remained very similar, with new momentum and energy reported just this week.
Diane Keller will retire this month as CEO at Memorial Community Health. She served as the fourth CEO since MCHI opened in 1964, following Harold Foster, Lawrence Vanderheiden and Bud Wall. Justin Wolf will begin his tenure as the new CEO later this month.

Fifty years ago this week Diane Keller was hired as a newly graduated Registered Nurse in Aurora. Five decades and a professional lifetime later she will step away from the only employer she has ever known later this month, retiring as Memorial Community Health’s CEO.

 Over the past nine months a number of up-and-coming individuals in the Hamilton County community have been working hard to foster skills and relationships in leadership that will take them forward into the future.
After more than 12 years of planning, all four plaques containing 25 names of fallen WWI-era soldiers made their public debut at Veteran’s Circle in the Aurora Cemetery, where they were recognized on Memorial Day.

Mayor Seeman dedicates plaques honoring 25 fallen WWI veterans Mayor Marlin Seeman honored 25 soldiers who died while serving their country from 1917 to 1918 Monday, reinstating the plaques that held their names in Veteran’s Circle at the Aurora Cemetery.

Michelle Broekemier, a Hordville native with 20 years experience in the healthcare industry, has been hired as the new administrator at Westfield Quality Care in Aurora. The pending administrative change was announced this week by Rod Schroeder, Westfield’s chairman of the board.
