From Carolina Reaper peppers to flying cast-iron skillets, there were plenty of challenges for those visiting the Hamilton County Fair.  Joining the line-up was a pie, hot dog and hot pepper eating contest along with a ladies’ skillet toss.

Pastor Rudy Flores has answered the call to serve the Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora as its new pastor. A native of Houston, Flores arrived in Aurora earlier this month with his wife Carol and is looking forward to beginning his first call in the ministry.

The 2021 Hamilton County Fair kicked off with a bang Monday, igniting a week-long celebration of history, tradition and fun for all ages. An anvil was blown into the air during opening ceremonies in the grandstands, the first of many events planned at the fairgrounds this week.
