Del Ray Manufacturing moves to GI

Ryder Keller announced plans this week to relocate Del Ray Manufacturing to a 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Grand Island, leaving Del Ray Voltage Systems as as the sole tenant in the Aurora facility on 12th Street.

Blue Star quilts honor past guild members

The Nimble Thimble Quilt Guild put on its annual quilt show during this year’s A’ROR’N Days celebration.  Among the variety of quilts, a blue star could be seen pinned to some of them. This star designated quilts made by guild members who had passed away, some very recently.

Concerned citizens address 4R board

Nebraska’s new proposed health standards was a topic garnering much discussion Monday during the 4R School Board meeting. A handful of concerned community members were present to share their thoughts and questions with school board members during public participation.
Construction crews were busy Friday putting down forms to pour the first basement in 14 homes expected to be built this year in a new housing subdivision on the east side of Phillips. Rising lumber costs increased the target price from $217,000 to $259,000.
