Connor Smith kept the Pinnacle Bank Seniors in the game while Camden Holliday ended up stealing it.  The Aurora Post 42 Pinnacle Bank Seniors team rallied to defeat Wood River 4-3 in walk-off fashion from Mitchell Field Thursday.

While the Aurora Cooperative Juniors are still searching for its first win of the season, coach Jeremy Burgener knows it isn’t far away.  There were a couple close calls over the weekend as the Aurora Cooperative Juniors competed at a York tournament, losing a pair of contests.

It was a split for the Aurora Post 42 Pinnacle Bank Seniors team in a double-header last week.  After losing both games of a double-header to Gibbon/Shelton back on June 16, Aurora was victorious in one of two games played July 5 from Mitchell Field.

An early lead turned sour for the Aurora Cooperative Post 42 Juniors squad.  St. Paul scored nine unanswered runs to rally and defeat Aurora 11-3 Sunday from Mitchell Field.  Despite that, though, it was Aurora that held the early lead thanks to a couple runs in the first inning.

Things had dampened a bit for the home Aurora Pinnacle Bank Post 42 Seniors team before the skies actually did the same.  A solid starting pitching effort from Cauy Walters wasn’t enough as St. Paul rallied for a 13-6 win Sunday at Mitchell Field.
