The voice Austin Allen heard through the zoom call was all too familiar. The Aurora native has heard it quite a bit in his lifetime.

Austin Allen isn’t much of a coffee guy. He doesn’t drink any soda, either -- hasn’t since 2011.
The former Husky has plenty of natural energy, leaving before dawn Thursday morning on a flight for Big Ten Media days in Indianapolis as the spokesman for the Huskers offense.
That’s a huge deal.

Even with temperatures sweltering above 80 degrees, goosebumps and shivers jolted my body when Nebraska coach Scott Frost said during the pregame Tunnel Walk video, “Welcome back to Memorial Stadium.”
It felt just like going back home after a long hiatus. Saturday, everything felt normal.
