Giltner school budget approved

Giltner School Board members approved a budget for the 2022-2023 school year at the Sept. 14 meeting following a presentation by Supt. Nick Mumm.  The levy was raised just under 1 percent of the total from last year’s rate. The approved rate is 84.96 cents per $100 valuation, an increase from 84.

Hornets sweep Dorchester triangular

Giltner started the season 0-6 and just needed some confidence. At least that’s what coach Jamey Eastman said two weeks ago.

Giltner Daze craze is set to happen Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight with a multitude of activities planned ll over the Hamilton County town.  The events start with the Street Vault at Giltner City Park with registration and warm-up at 9 a.m.

Kale Bish skipped the opening height of the Class D pole vault, but once he entered the field there was no slowing the Hornet sophomore down.

Hornets sending half dozen to state track meet

Despite a weather delay and some unique conditions, Giltner’s track team posted some solid results and will be sending six athletes to this week’s state track meet in Omaha.
