Methodist Church project boosts August tally

An Aurora Methodist Church expansion project which has been talked about for years and is now under construction gave a late summer boost to the city’s building permit total, adding $2.18 million to the August tally as the largest single project on the docket through eight months of the year.

Fundraiser to be held for Jesse Fleming Sept. 19

A free will donation hamburger feed is being held to provide financial assistance after the accident Fleming suffered on July 16. The feed will be at the Hampton Fire Barn on Sept. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be raffle items with tickets being sold for $5 per ticket of $20 for five.
