Humanities NE speakers coming to Aurora

The Alice M. Farr Library will soon be hosting two speakers from Humanities Nebraska through the Friends of the Library. The first visitor will be Charlotte Endorf sharing “Nebraska Spirit: The North Platte Canteen.” She will be there on Thursday, Sept. 9 starting at 6:30 p.m.

AHS Homecoming royalty

Aurora seniors Zander Stromer and Rachel Hunter were crowned Homecoming king and queen Friday night at halftime of the Huskies' 55-44 loss to Bennington.  Other Homeoming royalty included Ella Mitchell, Kaylee Crosby, Grace Ziegler, Mackenson Owens, Caden Carlson and Preston Ramaekers.

The statue “Waiting for the Bus” and flag pole were given in memory of Cletus Kothe by his family. Kothe drove bus for the Giltner school for 52 years and passed away in 2020.
