The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners spent most of Monday’s board meeting performing reorganizational tasks, appointing board positions and other boards and committees in the county.  Commissioner John Thomas was appointed vice chair, replacing Commissioner Becky Richter in the role.

Back in session at the start of a new year, the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners began Monday’s meeting with a lengthy executive session to discuss the response of the Merrick County Board of Supervisors on proposed changes to the 911 interlocal agreement between the neighboring counties.

Monday’s Hamilton County Board of Commissioners meeting featured another coronavirus related update, as commissioners took a joint stand by passing Resolution No. 1113, encouraging Hamilton County residents to wear masks, practice social distancing and wash their hands regularly.
