Monday’s Hamilton County Board of Commissioners meeting featured another coronavirus related update, as commissioners took a joint stand by passing Resolution No. 1113, encouraging Hamilton County residents to wear masks, practice social distancing and wash their hands regularly.
“I think most everyone has probably heard that the Central District Health Department has been working with Hastings, Kearney and Grand Island and each of those tri-cities are all considering going with a mandated mask ordinance,” Chairman Rich Nelson said. “So, as chairman I thought it may be good for us as a county to consider a resolution that would encourage our citizens -- encourage, not mandating or anything else, but encouraging them -- to wear masks, keep your distance and wash your hands frequently.”
