Kemling caps incredible comeback with medal

Britton Kemling thought his senior season was over athletically before it even began. Little did he know, it was the start of an improbable comeback.  A little more than half a calendar year removed from a devastating knee injury, Kemling not only returned to the wrestling mat, but won.

Huskies set for anticipated finals matchup vs Pierce

For the third year in a row, Aurora is one of the final 14 teams in the state left standing, set to compete for a state championship next week.  The Huskies will play in its third consecutive state football championship Tuesday at 2:45 p.m., taking on Pierce in the C1 finals from Memorial Stadium.

It was a huge start to the D-2 district track meet for High Plains. Within the span of two hours, the Storm had punched three tickets to the state meet in tough competition at the D-2 district meet at Osceola.

Brekyn Papineau was beat up and bruised. His shoulder was in a wrap.  But coach Derek Keasling knew that there was no way Papineau, even in rough shape, wouldn’t go out and give it 100 percent for his final match.
