Aurora senior Riley Darbro carded a new experience in her final outing as a Lady Husky, competing solo for the first time ever in the state tournament at Monument Shadows Golf Course in Gering.
As if she didn’t have enough to fret about already, Riley Darbro played the final few holes of the B-3 district meet at Jackrabbit Run into a gusting headwind.
Riley Darbro claimed a medal and the Lady Huskies finished fifth in conference golf action Friday at the Holdrege Country Club.
Aurora golfers earned more hardware this week though the stakes grow higher now with conference and district meets on the dance card in the coming days.
