As if she didn’t have enough to fret about already, Riley Darbro played the final few holes of the B-3 district meet at Jackrabbit Run into a gusting headwind.
Then there was the score counting and fingernail biting coming off 18 green, trying to calculate if her score was enough for a ticket to state.
And then, relief.
The Aurora senior put together a score of 98, finishing 9th and securing a spot in the Class B state golf meet during the B-3 district tournament Oct. 6.
