Aurora senior Riley Darbro carded a new experience in her final outing as a Lady Husky, competing solo for the first time ever in the state tournament at Monument Shadows Golf Course in Gering.
Darbro battled her way through the elements, the emotions and a tough Class B field to finish 52nd with a two-day score of 225.
“It kind of hit me on the tee box of the last hole that this is my last hole (of high school golf) so I just wanted to end on a good note,” she recalled. “I ended up parring the last hole so that was a good ending for me.”
